Description
Woven from 40gm chanderi in ivory, the kurta carries an all-over scatter of cross stitch carnations in peach-coral and green — each flower rendered individually, stem to petal, with the naturalistic precision of a botanical illustration rather than a repeating pattern. The motifs are larger and more fully formed than a typical buti scatter, generous enough to be read from across a room but intimate enough to reward close attention. Front and back both carry the same even distribution — the back as considered as the front, the carnations continuing without interruption around the full silhouette.
A lace insert panel across the upper back yoke and lace trim along the sleeve seam add the finest handcraft detail to an otherwise embroidery-led composition. The wide sleeves close with a sheer organza edge trimmed in lace — the lightest possible finish for the lightest possible fabric.
The khaitan silk pants carry the carnation embroidery through at the hem, with a scalloped organza finish that mirrors the kurta's delicacy at ground level.
