Description
The kurta is woven from lime chanderi and consumed by dense white thread embroidery — botanical vines and floral clusters worked across the entire body in a composition closer to chikankari's sensibility than scattered buti work. The embroidery is the ground here, not the accent.
The defining design decision is the sleeve: white chanderi, a full fabric switch from the lime body, finished with gota detailing at the cuff and thread work at the shoulder seam where the two fabrics meet. It is the kind of construction detail that reveals itself slowly — first you see the color, then the embroidery, then the sleeves, and only then do you understand what you are looking at.
A scalloped hem on both kurta and pants — the latter in pure cotton carrying the same white thread embroidery — closes the set with a finish as considered as everything above it.
