Description
The defining embellishment is pink silk appliqué — lotus motifs cut from silk, layered into dimensional petals, and placed across the ivory chanderi-organza kurta body with deliberate scatter. Gold zari traces the outlines. Sequins catch the centres. The motifs grow in scale toward the hem, where a large-scale lotus fan composition anchors the lower right with the confidence of a focal point rather than a border detail.
The kurta's construction is equally considered: a tissue-and-chanderi yoke, distinct in fabric from the body beneath it, is edged in a scalloped gold gota border — creating a built-in horizontal design element that frames the neckline without requiring a separate garment. The sleeve panels carry a striped tissue inset that mirrors the dupatta, tying the set's fabric language together across its full width.
The khaitan silk pants continue the pink appliqué vocabulary at the hem. The striped tissue dupatta — gold and ivory horizontal weave, gota-trimmed on all edges — carries no embroidery because it needs none; the weave itself catches light in every direction.
