Description
Woven from 40gm chanderi in ivory, the kurta is sheer enough that light passes through it rather than reflecting off it. Against this gossamer ground, large-scale tissue appliqué medallions in dull gold are laid across the body — dimensional, textured, casting soft shadow through the translucent chanderi beneath. There is no contrasting thread color, no vivid embroidery. The entire composition exists in the narrow, exquisite range between ivory and gold.
The sleeves are constructed from alternating tissue and chanderi panels, creating a structured horizontal banding at the cuff that anchors an otherwise fluid silhouette. A deep scalloped cutwork hem finishes the kurta with quiet ornament.
Below, khaitan silk pants carry tissue appliqué embroidery through, with a sheer organza hem that extends fractionally beyond the pant — a finishing detail that reveals itself only on movement.
